Let's Read Mexican Contemporary Literature!

We had such a great time last 9 February 2026 at Puerto Vallarta’s International Friendship Club (IFC) discussing Mexican contemporary authors. You all were happy to hear some new Mexican voices, and you also raised your hands to ask, discuss, opine, and contribute.

That’s exactly what a Mexico Conversation is supposed to look like. Thanks so much for that!

Some of you have asked that I share again the writers we discussed and the titles of their books. Do remember that I chose these names because: they are Mexican; they often discuss Mexico in their work and let you see a country you perhaps didn’t know existed; and they have also been professionally translated into English, which I know is truly important for you.
